My photo of plumes of de-icing had too many blotches on it, but you get the picture by looking at these photos. It's been cold here, and de-icing was done on all aircraft before they lined up for their take-off.

It is suddenly winter everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty happy that I never have to get on a plane in those conditions Kate 😱
ReplyDeleteThis was another "joy" of flying during the winter. Sometimes you could spend an hour or two de-icing on the runway. It had to be done, but still it was frustrating for all involved. I hear it's a bit chilly up in them thar parts...
ReplyDeleteInteresting to watch, but I'm glad I'm not on any of those planes!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the process done here.
ReplyDeleteI bet the worker is cold up there, not much moving around. The airport probably supplies its workers with good warm arctic like clothes. It's snowing off and on here today but nowhere like Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteI'd be more than a little scared to get on there!
ReplyDeleteLuckily I've never been on a plane that had to be de-iced. I must have been lucky with all my winter flights!
ReplyDeleteYes the ground looks quite slippery too, hope the plane took off ok.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite nice down here. 64 today.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't look like a pleasant job. We've had some chilly days lately but they're balmy compared to your weather.
