Abbey, an 11-year-old former show dog
I have a friend who does not own a dog; he doesn't need to do that because he has neighbours who gratefully surrender their dogs to him whenever he decides to walk either of them to Turtle Restaurant and Bakery on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. Abby, on the left is younger and far more active than Abbey above.
Both dogs (whichever one is there at the time) wait patiently for treats provided by the staff while Glenn reads the New York Times. Smart dogs!!

Now that sounds like a good plan not to have a dog of your own and therefore have no commitments but are able to walk your neighbors dog whenever you want. Both dogs are gorgeous and I wish you a very happy weekend
ReplyDeleteHello, it is nice to be able to borrow a dog when you like. They are both beautiful dogs. Great shots. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet pics and backstory!
ReplyDeleteThey look like sweet and loving companions. Such dogs make life much more bearable, even fun, sometimes; especially as you get older.
ReplyDeleteOh grrreat . . .
ReplyDeleteKate, you've gone and ruined my ruse, divulged my deceptions.
Now, with this story and pix going online, the “pup-arazzi" press will be following us all around town.
And l can only hope the two pretty princesses (Abby and Abbey) don’t find out I’ve been — two-timing them both.
____ Glenn
Both very adorable dogs and great photos!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you ~ ^_^
Beautiful looking dogs, I still miss the dogs we had in Alaska and Oregon.
ReplyDeleteThey're both adorable!
ReplyDeletePretty dogos.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Weekend!
Peace :)
That sounds like the perfect arrangement Kate. They are both beautiful dogs!
ReplyDeleteHe has the best of 2 worlds...smart fella. :)
ReplyDeleteThese two are adorable! They both look like very smart dogs.
ReplyDeleteBoth dogs look like lots of fun, but I'm drawn to the second one in your photos.
ReplyDeleteAbbey is a beautiful Dalmation! Such lovely markings she has.
ReplyDeleteVery cute dogs and a great arrangement for Glenn, despite his protestations. Plus there's the convenience of only needing to remember one pooch name.
ReplyDeletePretty dogs! Sounds like a winning plan all the way around.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great exercise for them both! They are lovely critters and I'm so glad they are well-behaved.
ReplyDeleteSweet dogs, sorry for them to wait outside until their boss is ready with reading his paper...
ReplyDeleteSweet are the dogs.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Poland.
Monika.
All the fun and none of the responsibility. That's the ticket! None of the vet bills either. :-)
