Justice for Philando Castille

People protesting the death of Philando Castille in Falcon Heights, a St. Paul, Mn. suburb, by a Saint Anthony police officer began Wednesday night.  I drove to the gathering on Summit Avenue in front of the Governor's Manson about 4 pm Thursday afternoon and observed an orderly, large crowd of people, representative of our community:  blacks, whites, Hispanics, Africans, and Asians. In the words of our President, "too many shootings, too many times!"

  1. It is just too much. Now is the time we must do something to stop these things from ever happening again.

  3. Today's news makes this even more horrible. Is there no end to all this violence?

  4. It has to stop. This is madness, and that was murder. Cold blooded murder.

  6. This Police killing was so unnecessary and grim. Good post of a necessary protest. May this all too frequent occurrence become rare and nonexistent.

  7. It's very sad and very sick. It has suited too many people that we've allowed distrust to grow into a murderous sickness. Black lives matter AND cops aren't taught to bridge gaps and know ALL the people they're sworn to protect.

  8. Yes, Black lives matter. ALL lives matter. Killing police officers isn't the way to fix anything. What a terrible mess we are in.
