On Monday I decided to visit the Como Park Conservatory to see the newly installed spring flowers in the Sunken Garden. Since kids are in school, the park was not as crowded as usual so I easily found a parking spot. It was right next to the Cafesjian Carousel, which was lucky for me because it was running even though there were few wee customers. I stopped to enjoy this beautiful attraction and the small children enjoying it with their parents.

i love carousels!
ReplyDeleteThese things are so much fun. Heck, I still enjoy riding one but haven't in many years. Love the shot of the dad and his kids!
ReplyDeleteAh, c'mon! Find one and hop on for a ride. You deserve to treat yourself!! I agree about the father and children. Nice family!!
DeleteWhat a beautiful carousel. It's one of those things you never tire of seeing or riding.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a classic carousel. Nice!
ReplyDeleteIt was well worth the restoration. The only carousel I can think of offhand (permanent, anyway), is in a city a four hour drive away along their waterfront.
ReplyDeleteUse to take my daughter to the coast in Oregon and she use to ride the carousel. Good memories! Nice photo of the family enjoying their ride.
ReplyDeleteOh boy does that look great.
ReplyDeleteThose carousels are so beautiful, nice they restored it.
ReplyDeleteKate, I'm so glad you posted this! Not sure whether you know of my 28-year involvement with it.
ReplyDeleteI especially like your last shot, the family portrait. Well done!
