Franklin Avenue Bridge
The underside of the Franklin Avenue bridge over the Mississippi. From this angle the river looks narrow, but the view is deceptive since it is much wider here than it looks.

Wow...is that a footbridge along the banks? What a lovely place to walk.
ReplyDeleteYou're right; it's just below the U of MN campus. I've never been there myself so I didn't comment. I think I should try it out and then do some photography while there.
Deletepretty neat design.
ReplyDeleteThe river looks like it's running quite high too Kate, perspective really is deceptive!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like the river is narrow there. Always fun to get a glimpse of the mighty Mississippi.
ReplyDeleteNicely composed, Kate! Yeah, I don't know anyplace in the Twin Cities where Ol' Miss could be said to be a narrow river!
ReplyDeleteBut at least you can see the distant bank clearly
ReplyDeleteLove the design, and I can see that it's a very wide bridge.

ReplyDeleteI see what you mean. That river is so wide. Super structure.
ReplyDeleteThe perspective is deceptive. I like the design of the bridge.

ReplyDeleteHow true that the river doesn't look very wide in this photo!
ReplyDeleteThat foot bridge looks like a great place to walk.
ReplyDeleteNice photo.
ReplyDeleteLove the green!
