Back in my youth I remember. School was always out by June 14. now, not so much.
*about your comment on portcitydaily: Septembers can be warm. Maybe 70s-80s? September days can be cool. 60s-70s. Bring your sweaters. Evenings for sure.
And, your research about Miss Porter's is right. A prominent girls prep school, primarily for boarders, with good academics and an often wealthy student body.
June 14th is also my late mother's birthday as well as my niece's birthday. (To answer your question: "Karsh" is the book of Karsh's celebs, mostly B&W but there are also a small number of color shots.)

WOW! Do calendars even name Flag Day anymore? Mine don't and I have several. Nice of you to remember.
ReplyDeleteThey have gotten into the spirit of the day!
ReplyDeleteWaving flags doth not a patriot make!
ReplyDeleteOops! half of the day is gone...and I did not know this. Hmm I have a flag somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot about Flag Day this year. Oops.
ReplyDeleteSaw your question to Birdman about Maine in September. It can be quiet up there after the tourists leave, and it can be cold.
