Leif Hagen from Eagan Daily Photo and I occasionally meet for coffee and pastries, but since our favorite cafe has just recently closed, Leif invited me to his office instead. I was delighted to meet there because of the warmly decorated space, graced with pieces of art work that he has collected from various spots on the globe during his many travels. They also include beautiful objects given to him from friends he has made, starting with an after-college teaching stint in Japan, business travel and family vacations. Each piece has a story behind it, and I have urged him to photograph a few and post them on his daily blog, including the story behind it.
Visit Leif's blog and urge him to follow my sage advice.

It is nice to see you and Leif together.
ReplyDeleteYour comment on Jack's Hartford blog today is so true. I have tried to stop myself from using any of the many common expressions that derive from guns. Just yesterday in a business meeting I stopped myself just as I was about to refer to someone as wanting to pull the trigger in referring to launching an action.
That was good advice! And a very nice photo of the two blogging buddies.
ReplyDeleteThat's always nice to meet Blog friends !
ReplyDeleteBlogging buds, coffee, and photos. What a great combination!
ReplyDeleteReading his profile I can see he is a kindred spirit.(quite the traveler) Meeting other bloggers is so neat!
ReplyDeleteNicely written - and word verification-free!
ReplyDeleteTeacher knows best Leif!
ReplyDeleteInteresting Friends you gather Mrs. Kate!
You sure get to know interesting folks through your photos and writing, Kate. I am glad we connected this way, too.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot of you and Leif and a good idea for B.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kate and Leif! :-)
ReplyDeleteExcellent portrait of Leif Kate, he looks as handsome as ever!
ReplyDeleteNice couple!!!
ReplyDeleteGetting together with local bloggers is such fun!!! When I was still down south in Glendale, I was fortunate to meet many local bloggers at the San Gabriel Valley annual bloggers picnic and have kept in touch and developed friendships along the way! Blogging is truly an opportunity to meet people from all over the world!!!
ReplyDeleteI've had the pleasure of meeting many blogging buddies and I think only once did it not work out well.

I love meeting blogging buddies too.
ReplyDeleteMy son is getting married in Minnesota at the end of April. It looks like Pardon My French won't be catering his desserts after all. Does anyone know why they were shut down? :(
Martha, I just saw 2 short pieces in the paper that indicated that both of their locations closed unexpectedly and they were not responding to inquiries. Wanna meet us for coffee?! Perhaps you'll be too busy at the wedding!
DeleteI would never have known what bakery you were talking about if not for my son's Facebook post just last evening, and I don't believe I've ever visited your blog before today. I am amazed how often these kinds of events coincide, and had it not been for my internet service being disrupted, I might have missed this connection altogether. Perhaps we will have to meet for coffee in April! Maybe it is meant to be. :)
