Hasta La Vista, Baby!

¡Si, Viva Cuba!
¡Hasta la Vista, Baby!
¡Cuba is Unique!

Today is my last photo from my Cuba trip. After reading all the comments from my fellow bloggers on "Obligations of Membership"listed on the Facebook CDP page,  it seems obvious that most members believe that photos should generate only from one's chosen city.  I don't agree since my travels are part of who I am with a desire to share cities that I visit, but I will bow to the wishes of the majority. I wrote a detailed explanation on the FB CDP thread, giving my reasons for straying which seemed logical to me.  I can't promise, however,  that I won't stray here and there on occasion in the future, but I'll try to stay within the original guidelines.

I have many other photos of Cuba, a country that I love, but you'll just have to go there yourself to see the city through your very own lens!  I recommend it; you won't be sorry. I want to go again.

  1. You are a bad girl Kate. You are a rule breaker:-0 Today's photo is very fitting for your last (for now) Cuban post.

  2. That's why I don't want to belong to a meme blog. It is to limited for me, I like to watch and show photos which interests me. So I enjoyed your trip very much, go on with it.

  3. As far as I understand it Kate, everyone goes on holiday, so if you want to keep the daily part of the plan, surely the posts will be from wherever you are. I think everyone has enjoyed your Cuba shots, i particularly loved all the Hemingway info, I'm busy rereading his books just now, he was such a great writer.

  4. I've thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I'd like to tag along on your next one. Frankly I like to see the variety in your blog. I wouldn't want to be tied down to one subject in my blogging adventures!

  8. Methinks it's your blog and if you want to post pictures of Cuba, you have that right. I can't imagine anyone objecting to that. And I've enjoyed your trip immensely. Si! Si!

  13. I agree with Lowell. Rules are meant to be broken, if not that makes us pretty darn boring. I'll travel anywhere you want to take me Kate.

  14. Ditto Lowell. And I certainly like to tag along on your trips. I appreciate the CDP perspective, but a little flexibility doesn't hurt. . .and how hard is it to move on if you don't like the photo that's posted?

  15. Hmmmm. I may have to bow out of CDP if that's the case. Personally, I love seeing whatever you want to post, Kate. And St. Paul is still your home base.

  16. You have way to much to offer to be fenced in. You have a way
of being Home wherever you happen to be visiting!

The Cuba Adventure was a classic.

  17. With all due respect to the CDP folks, but they need a more laissez faire approach. Yes, only one photo a day and yes, from where you live but some folks have 6 weeks of paid vacation and they're not necessarilly going to stay at home because of CDP. I don't read your blog because St Paul is the centre of the universe. I read your blog ( and a few others) because the people who write them are interesting and have a view of life that matches mine. Which is why I enjoy your writing. No matter what you're writing about or from where.

i think you should post whatever you want!! i certainly do not agree that you should only post from the city you live in. with that rule, i would have quit blogging a while ago...
