Have to admire the discipline that it takes to become a successful Mime. They always seem to be crowd pleasers wherever they perform! Great capture of the 'Old Man'.
Much to my surprise, Cuba has many, many tourists...few from the United States, however. I met many Europeans while there and Canadians have been going there for years. Thanks to our economic embargo (shame on our government!), Americans cannot frequent the Island as we might if our government's politics were different.
This surprises me, too, as I would not think of Cuba as a tourist haven. I agree with you about the embargo. If that had any legitimacy, we should have embargoed China, too. What a difference that would have made! :-)
I'm really impressed with the fellow's outfit. Very well done!
Ya gotta love doin' it though. Seems a hard way to make $$$$$$.
ReplyDeleteExcept fore the eyes I really thought photo No. 1 was a sculpture.

ReplyDeleteThere must be sufficient tourism to support such street performers.

I feel like I am in Paris! Or maybe San Fran. Cool....
ReplyDeleteYes, this is still one more job that I would not want. (Nice pix.)
ReplyDeleteI would be too shy to do something like that.
ReplyDeleteThe first one in particular had me fooled - unless it really IS a statue?!?!
