"The turtles are free- As turtles and, maybe, all creatures should be.”

There are several turtles in the pond on St. Kate's campus, but I think this is the same one sunning itself which I see whenever I am there on a hot sunny day.
ONE MORE DAY!
elle est belle et elle profite du beau temps pour faire bronzette ;))
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the turtle, wish I had a telephoto for my camera; what's one more day?
ReplyDeleteTurtles are such fascinating animals. Lovely pic.
ReplyDeleteHe's lovely Kate and looks so comfy sitting there enjoying some rays!!
ReplyDeletehe looks nice and relaxed
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice photo! We had turtles in a canal behind a condo in Ft. Lauderdale. But people caught them for turtle soup. I didn't think that was very nice.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, the bike on Ocala DP is not mine. A man rode up on it with two little kids in back - really cute.
I want to be like this turtle..... resting on a log! Great photo. Did the turtle "plop" once you "snapped?"
ReplyDeleteI think he is enjoying the warm weather.
ReplyDeleteHe looks at peace... nice picture.
ReplyDeleteKaren Xavier.
We have scenes like this in Costa Rica. I hope that he students on this campus do not get inspiration from the turtles when it is time to write a term paper.
ReplyDeleteI also often see turtles in this position, Kate. We have an almost identical photograph taken at the Forest History Center in Grand Rapids. I have enjoyed being at St. Kate's with your photos.
ReplyDeleteI love that story! Great shot. Make sure to bring an umbrella. It's raining right now and the breeze is a little chilly.
