Two Beautiful Dogs

Abbey, an 11-year-old former show dog

I have a friend who does not own a dog; he doesn't need to do that because he has neighbours who gratefully surrender their dogs to him whenever he decides to walk either of them to Turtle Restaurant and Bakery on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. Abby, on the left is younger and far more active than Abbey above.

Both dogs (whichever one is there at the time) wait patiently for treats provided by the staff while Glenn reads the New York Times.  Smart dogs!!

  1. Now that sounds like a good plan not to have a dog of your own and therefore have no commitments but are able to walk your neighbors dog whenever you want. Both dogs are gorgeous and I wish you a very happy weekend

  4. They look like sweet and loving companions. Such dogs make life much more bearable, even fun, sometimes; especially as you get older.

  5. Oh grrreat . . .
Kate, you've gone and ruined my ruse, divulged my deceptions.
Now, with this story and pix going online, the “pup-arazzi" press will be following us all around town.
And l can only hope the two pretty princesses (Abby and Abbey) don’t find out I’ve been — two-timing them both.

  14. Very cute dogs and a great arrangement for Glenn, despite his protestations. Plus there's the convenience of only needing to remember one pooch name.
