Pianos
Several years ago decorated pianos like this one were located in many public spaces throughout the city of St. Paul. It was fun to see and listen to pedestrians who stopped to tinkle a tune on one of those. Children also were tempted to try their hand at making music. This was the first and only piano I saw this year, located outside Cafe Latte on Grand Avenue. Do you think this qualifies for an unusual Monday Mural?

ReplyDeleteThis was highly unusal indeed - I have never seen anything like it!
ReplyDeleteThat is nice. Works at being a mural for me.
ReplyDeleteIt does, yes! Quite unusual, and wonderfully colourful!
ReplyDeleteawesome! and yes, i do!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I wish Madison would do something like this, especially considering how popular CowParade and Artzoobilee were.
ReplyDeleteFor sure it does! Great and very creative mural :).
ReplyDeleteA mural for sure! We had them here a couple of years ago but I don't think there any about now.
ReplyDeleteit is so lovely...

Looks like a mural to me! Love the bright colors. I only wish I could play. :)
ReplyDeleteIt does! Absolutely! It's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou say "mur-al," I say "mural." They both mean the same thing. So, yes, count it as a mural. Love the whole idea of pianos in public. But you would have a hard time prying my fingers from the keyboard.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sure this will do for a mural, it looks so nice such a colourful painted piano.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and whimsical idea. Wonder what happened to the other pianos? Love the idea of passersby having the opportunity to sit down and play a tune. Thanks, Kate, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteIt counts. I like this one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I hope people use them!
ReplyDeleteKate, if you think it is a mural, it is a mural. I have read about those public pianos but the only place I have seen them is on blogs.
ReplyDeleteI like its brick motif! Someone has really made this look like a fun and inviting instrument.
