bel hommage et facon original de parler du memorial Day
It is a day to reflect.
It looks like some of his ancestors lived long lives and witnessed a lot of changes.
My in-laws are both buried at Ft. Snelling which is probably where I would have been buried too if we'd stayed in that area. From the dates, I'd guess we're about the same vintage! Re squirrels: I had heard about such bird-feeders but by that time we were in process of moving. So, the squirrels won. I've seen a couple of fox-squirrels here in Stone Creek and I'm going to post a few photos of one on that blog in the next few days...at least I think it's a fox-squirrel...from a distance they run like a fox! Thanks, too, for the info on the ceramics maker. My mother was an artist/writer and many years ago did some nice ceramic pieces...but life intruded so she had to give it up for other "duties."
A good day for remembering our loved ones who have gone before us.
Very nice. I agree with Birdman.
This is a nice post for today and good to remember the family that has gone before us. I always feel a bit sad that my ancestors are buried so far away.
Remembering is so important. We don't have a family plot so our remembering is in our hearts.
AMAZING photographs !Have a super week.
Thanks for visiting my blog; I appreciate it! Come back often!!
