After our long, bitterly cold and snowy Minnesota winter, I didn't think I'd ever see blossoms emerge again, but my lovely rhododendrons finally burst into bloom at the beginning of May.

That is a painting unto itself! Gorgeous color and your photo is excellent - tack-sharp!
ReplyDeletewe're joining the chorus.
ReplyDeleteNow that is what I call Happy Color! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful color to greet you each morning!
ReplyDeleteI love rhodies, too, Kate. Ours are just starting to show, along with their cousins the azaleas. Unfortunately, it is rainy and dreary here and is forecast to be the same way throughout the week. Fortunately, rhodies look good when it is glum, though they look better with sun and blue skies.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! And I loved, loved your posting yesterday with the "Art in Bloom" photo!
ReplyDeleteBravo, Great Kate, bravo!
Glorious color!
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful. Can you use them to make leis? :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reward for making it through that cold winter!
ReplyDeleteI can join you in a verse of Alleluia! Those are splendid, Kate!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
Beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteSpring is (sort of) HERE!

Amen and Alleluia!
ReplyDeleteI think they are one of my favorite flowers. Beautiful lavendar color too.
ReplyDeleteThursday we had temps in the high 80's, yesterday we had a violent hail storm and the temps never got above 45. This is not typical of the Sacramento Central Valley. It should be shorts and flip flop time.
Enjoy your breath of Spring.
I love being part of ABC, it enRiches my vocabulaRy. You choice of R is teRRific!
ReplyDeleteWould you mind to visit my R post, please?
Lovely photo. I've seen a few rhododendrons blooming in Portland recently. Not a profusion of them like in years past. I wonder if my old neighborhood is loaded like in years past? Maybe I'll head over there this weekend and take a look.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. They have started here as well now. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteViola Violets! Beautiful pix.
ReplyDeletebeautiful, I love purple
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Happy to see yours in bloom. Ours is all but dead. Not sure what happened to it.
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly well worth waiting for - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSpring may be late, but its signs are always gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great colour! You must be proud of your rhododendron - and of your photo, just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteStunning. What a gorgeous color. Spring is such a special award for making it through another winter...
ReplyDeleteBeauty!
ReplyDeleteEvery time it appears we've turned the corner, cold weather tries to sneak up on us. The lilacs have bloomed and so have your flowers. They are a welcome sight.
