Historically Summit Avenue has been the premier street in St. Paul, and you can enter many of the old homes through lovely doors. This is my favorite on the entire avenue. At night, the etched glass panels literally glow! This post is for Marie, Alexandria, Va. for posting doors she receives from other bloggers throughout the world!

Oh, Kate! I'm honored to have such a beautiful doorway displayed in my name! Thanks so much! I'd love to display a larger version on Doorways Around the World.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday the 13th!! :)
Very nice photo, Kate. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThey don't make doors like this anymore, do they? Kate, it must be nice to be home but we've all very much enjoyed your time in Mazatlan!
ReplyDeleteDo they give tours in those historical districts of St.Paul?
ReplyDeleteThe door is beautiful - what does the rest of the building look like?
Isabella (Incidentally, that's my favorite feminine name!), There are many tours both of several houses and within individual house, e.g. the James J. Hill mansion now turned into a museum-of-sorts. A very popular one concerns F.Scott's Fitzgerald's homes and haunts. I did a mini series on his school and homes so click here and follow the subsequent dates.
