Now this hockey themed photo is right up my alley! I recently took a photo of this statue. I did get an initial photo of the entire statue, but couldn't get a photo of the plaques as people were sitting around the statue. I was pressed for time and had to leave. [I was parked on the timed 1 hour parking meters around Rice Park]
That was one movie I wished I could have seen - sadly, i did not see it but oh how great it is to always watch inspirational stories - it gives the human spirit a lift and inspires people to excel at every level!
I love this statue - it's about the most exuberant statue I think I've seen! Most of them are deadly dull. I did read the Kite Runner - thanks for the recommendation though - I absolutely loved it! - chris
He was a very good coach at all levels. The 1980 Olympics was the pinnacle..Miracle on Ice.

ReplyDeleteI like your photograps. They show so much detail. And the figure shows such enthusiasm I thought he won a lot more than a hockey game. Amazing career.
ReplyDeleteje ne connais pas, mais belle statue, pour un bel hommage
ReplyDeleteI do not know, but beautiful statue, for a beautiful homage
Great photo of the statue and homage to an exciting event in Hockey History.

ReplyDeleteI remember him from the Olympics - did not know he passed away.
