Planned Parenthood stands for choice. I know many S. Dakotans are spearheading a fight to end some options for planning parenting.
I remember "the good old days" before choices were allowed - and those days weren't so good for many men, women and children. I hope our country doesn't return to those old ways.
Kate, thanks for your kind comments to me the other day. I enjoy visiting your blog - and suspect you and I share some ideologies.
Meg, I don't think the sign implies that the women have to be "saved." What Planned Parenthood in MN is doing is trying to support the women in South Dakota in the event that their right to choose between having an abortion or not is being threatened. It's all about choices. I know that this is a hot topic, which can be quite controversial but it is a very real issue across the country, regardless of one's opinion on the topic.
interesting..i see that their network is quite extensive. Do u support?
ReplyDeleteHmm planned pregnancy...that one rings a bell :)

Why do they need to be saved, Kate?
