Brag, Brag, Brag!!
During the 2005-6 school year students at Capitol Hill Elementary School learned about the Mighty Mississippi. A number of pieces of artwork produced by the students were selected to be displayed at the Science Museum of Minnesota during this current school year. The drawing of my grandson, Dominique, who was in sixth grade at the time, was selected for the display. To see the gallery of artwork produced by some of the students, go to this site: http://www.nps.gov/miss/photosmultimedia/artgal2006.htm A grandmother's pride is boundless!!

Kate, that is FANTASTIC! I especially like the tree on the left...looks like a little critter is in the hole.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your grandson for getting his artwork up on display.. :) Aren't the drawings that kids do just the best. It's great that you took a photo of it so he will always have it for a memory.. Great Job.. :)

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Down Under in Perth early Sunday morning.
great picture, well done to your grandson.
ReplyDeletelovely from you to showing it to us.
Congratulations. I hope your grandson gets a kick out of the world seeing his artwork. Encouraging art at an early age is good for us all.
ReplyDeleteThank you most warmly to all of you who have commented. Dom did not say much, but the expression on his face was a good message! He was very interested in the authors' countries of origin. With only 2 grandchildren it's easier to take them abroad, and so far we have taken him to Paris, México (with his 4-yr-old sister) several times, to Hawaii and numerous other states. I'm determined to make them world-conscious citizens as long as $$ holds out!! Again, many thanks--you folks are great!!
