Guess What's Coming!!
Leaves turn colour at a different pace in the state of Minnesota, beginning first up north along Lake Superior, and then slowly moving south. When in full colour the roads bordering the Mississippi, both on the St. Paul and Minneapolis side are spectacular in various shades of fading green, ruby reds, brilliant yellows, and vibrant oranges. The breathtaking beauty fades quickly, followed by blasts of cold air, ice and snow. Brrr!!

Wish we had the wonderful change of colors here. There are some Liquid Amber and Maples that burst forth but nothing compared to your area.
ReplyDeletewow i didn't expect to se this, beautiful colors never the less.
ReplyDeletea bit early for me - my mind is still somewhere in july.
I've always said Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the colors and the rustle of leaves underfoot, the winds that sweep and scatter those same leaves, the blue skies and crisp air.
ReplyDeleteAnd then Spring comes with her soft palette of color and I say "Spring is my favorite season".
But, right now, Fall is my favorite season.
I love your picture of the blazing tree.
Pretty! Here a few trees are starting to get patches of yellow leaves, but nothing dramatic yet.
ReplyDeleteI must agree with other posters. It's beautiful. Have a nice weekend too Kate :)
ReplyDeletevery pretty. the colours are the only thing i like abourt autumn. not the cloudy, rainy days. and first snow always brings a cheer and some 'light' to the dark and gloom of winter.
ReplyDeleteFall is a wonderful time of year. The weather is great and the color is enjoyable. As in Minnesota, fall comes in stages here in South Carolina. This is good from a Daily Photo standpoint because it offers many photo opportunities. I look forward to your fall photos.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I will get to see the changing of the colors. (I hope) For now.. I will just admire your image. Very nice :)
ReplyDeleteMore great Autumn colors, I can share these lovely colours around the world whilst at the same time enjoy Spring here... what more do you need!?
ReplyDeleteThta tree is made of fire!!! it has a magic texture. Great Kate!!

When I went up to Sandia Peak the other day I was hoping to see some pretty trees such as this. No such luck ... at least not yet! Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing tree.. Unfortunately here the colors don't change. We get brown and green. I envy your season and the changing colors of fall. Enjoy..
ReplyDeleteGorgious. Absolutely gorgious. Stands as a metaphore for me this season.
