VIP Area

I believe that this is the first year that a special area has been cordoned off to the right of the main stage in Mears Park for VIP's! I noticed that a catered meal was offered, obviously a private party.  I'm not complaining since the three-day outdoor Jazz concert is free but I have one question.  How can I become a VIP??

  1. It's a conundrum. You have to know one to become one. I know a lot of VAPs (Vapid, Airy Persons) but they're no help!

  3. My guess is you become a VIP when you donate enough money to support the jazz concert. Interesting photo.

  4. It probably involves a donation of some kind.

  5. You're already a VIP to all your friends and family. Maybe you can rely that message to the PIA (people in charge)and they'll let you in :)

  7. Puzzling that's for sure. BTW my spouse enjoyed you photos of St. Kate where she was an undergraduate some years ago...

  8. I have no ideal but I would guess you would need to contact the sponsors of the event. But I love your saying on top of your blog...""THE SECRET TO LIVING WELL AND LONGER IS: EAT HALF, WALK DOUBLE, LAUGH TRIPLE, AND LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE." ~TIBETAN PROVERB"
    Stop in from Biebkriebels.
If you fine the time stop on in for a cup of coffee

  9. Taken For Granted would probably be right on this one.

  10. Becoming a VIP is simple: open wallet and let big amounts of cash fly out.

  11. Look no further than your checkbook.

  12. The people up above who suggest that opening the wallet and paying to sponsor the event have the right idea. It is how things work. Hartford is looking for someone to pay for the July 4 fireworks. Want to be a Hartford VIP?

  13. Last year when Dr. John played at CHS Field, we decided we wanted "up close and personal" seating, so we paid $75 each and voila! we were VIPs. I think we got a free drink as part of the deal. I found the offer on the Jazz Fest web site.
