Ramadan
When we first moved into our neighbourhood 40 years ago, it traditionally was Catholic and Jewish. Over the years it has gradually diversified with a variety of religions and ethnicities. I was heartened recently when I noticed several of these lawn signs during my morning walks with Wild Wendy. Sure beats some of the predictable political signs that are sure to appear during this election year.

No melting pot here in Canada. It is a multicultural country. Go to the City Of Toronto and you will think you are in many different countries. I just can't imagine going through a lengthy political campaign like the ones in the USA. We just had one here that lasted a few months and that was enough for me. Just saying. :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting sign showing both acceptance and tolerance. We need more of that.
ReplyDeleteI guess we are not used to have SIGNS like this in gardens or on cars here in Norway.

ReplyDeleteThere are so many good people in the world - gives you hope.

ReplyDeleteI think we will all be happy when this year is over. Very neighborly that sign.
ReplyDeleteWith so much anti-Muslim attitude being promoted these days this sign is nice to see.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely and heart-warming to see.
