Okay Okay, Mr. Persistent, the area that borders part of the campus traditonally had amovie theatre, small restaurants, ice cream parlors, duplicating stores and shops that cater to the students. It is a SMALL, dinky area that both commuting-day and resident students used (with appreciation) for years, but has recently taken on a different character with the arrival of more modern shops and parking meters, for heaven's sakes! It has lost its original Dinkytown character as far as I am concerned but I still love my alma mater.

  13. I don't recall the last time I heard them called "cyclone" fences. For some reason in this party of the country they came to be called chain link fences. And they definitely need decoration! The flowering vine on this one sure is pretty!
