Since Cuba is very much in the news, I thought you might like to see some of the children who may benefit from the recent political changes between their country and ours. I refrain from making any political judgments, but I hope that their lives will change for the better! This is one of the schools our group visited a few years ago while I was in that beautiful country.

I remember well your photos from there. I don't discuss politics either.....but I hope for a brighter future for these sweet faces.
ReplyDeleteTime to end the embargo? Although it would spoil certain elements of Cuban life, overall it makes no sense to most of the rest of the world.
ReplyDeleteListening to the news, there are certainly a lot of mixed feelings about this change. I agree that doing the same thing for 50 years and expecting a different result is not the smartest idea.
ReplyDeleteHopefully their lives will improve significantly, although I'm sure it won't happen overnight.
ReplyDeletesweet little faces. i'm not certain how this will effect either country, i just know the politicos are in turmoil.
ReplyDeleteIt's about time. From this side of the border, the embargo has always seemed foolish.
ReplyDeleteGlad the embargo will be lifted. Just hope Cuba doesn't lose its soul.
ReplyDeleteActually, the embargo has not been lifted, which would take an act of Congress. Diplomatic ties have been re-established. I am not sure what that means for the Cuban people and their government. . .more freedom? Hard to tell; it's too early yet. Sure has created a storm of controversy here in the states.
DeleteLook like kids everywhere; full of dreams and hope. I hope that the new plan will bring some of those dreams and hope to reality!
ReplyDeleteNice photos.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI hope this step will prove to be a positive one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the clarification, Kate. At least ties have been re-established.
