Arrive at Boundary Waters

We have spent the last few day in Grand Marais, a small harbor town in northern Minnnesota close to the Canadian border and the Boundary Waters Canoe area.  A drive along Highway 12 on the Gunflint Trail is spectacular any time of the year, but it's a special place in autumn.

  3. We spent a night in Grand Marais some years back. I got some good shots of the harbor and boats and rocks which my in-laws hung in their living room. It's a beautiful area!

  6. At first sight I thought it said "Gunfight" - thought we were off to the OK Corale.

  8. I think that autumn in these northern areas would truly be spectacular. The sign is a reminder of the 50s and 60s.
