  2. Minnesota has lots of lakes, but one would need a big lake for a sailboat this large.

  3. Get in the water. Beached boats in summer seem sad.

  4. Looks like it's in search of some water.

  5. A boat and a fish out of water, one searches for a sailor, the other a fisherman!

  6. I hated it when our boat had to come out of the water for maintenance. A boat out of water is not a happy boat! It is always so sad to see and then there is the worry that one of the straps will fail and....

  9. It's very sad to see a boat out of water. Never had to worry about that, though, 'cause never could afford a boat. Furthermore, we had a pool. That was a hole in the ground into which we poured money. No need to do the same thing in the water.

Are they moving this thing somewhere?

Re your comment on Cedar Key: I know you're kidding, but I probably could arrange something in Cedar Key where you could escape the Minnesota winter, although it seems to be you always go to Santa Fe. I guess you could stop at CK for a few days on your way to SF. Just let me know.

  12. That's a good Double B for you, but I Bet that Boy would love to have his Boat Back in the Beach.

Love the picture...I'll take the boat.

  13. This looks like an involved process. To me it's interesting to see the parts that are usually under water.

  14. Lowell has defined a boat, too: a hole in the water into which you pour money. It looks like the vessel above is about to get it's share of green, too. It looks like its keel had a little accident.

  16. Well, a beached boat like that means repairs, doesn't it? OUch...big bucks!

  17. Maybe it's time for a new paint job.

  18. I have some memories of this sight, and I am guessing that this is an "after" shot... after scraping the hull of barnacles, priming, and repainting - ugh! I preferred to be the boat princess who shows up when it is time to push away from the dock - hah!

  20. Maybe this beached boat is not a beached boat after all, maybe this beached boat is just a 'moving to a new home' boat!! It's possible oui!

  21. Is that boat to tired to sail and has to be driven home? :)
