Yum, Yum, Yummy-ABC WEDNESDAY: "W"



Oh they're so fresh and fine
And they're just off the vine
Strawberries, strawberries, strawberries

Virgin Raspberry Daiquiri
3 oz raspberry puree
2 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 tsp caster sugar 
1/2 oz raspberry syrup      







                                                  
Blend briefly with half a glassful of crushed ice in a wine goblet. Garnish with raspberries, and serve.

  2. I use that word yummy quite a bit, especially describing fresh strawberries and rasberries!!
    I would love a piece of fresh pie for the 4th.

  7. In addition to that Porgy and Bess song, there is, of course, the Beatles' Strawberry Fields, Forever. No songs about raspberries come to mind. Your photo makes me hungry for raspberries which I prefer to strawberries.

    There is nothing in our supermarkets that can match freshly picked Minnesota strawberries, raspberries or blueberries!

    So delicious. I like your recipe but it's lacking rum, I do believe. ;-) I know, I know, it's a virgin.

  17. The raspberries looks much better than what we have.
    The strawberries looks fine, and I am still waiting for more of our own berries...... After RAIN, we have sunshine this morning. That might get more color on the strawberries too.
