Your checklist of steps for a new roof omitted consideration of whether OSHA might visit the site.
Roofing is hard, dangerous work. The workers deserve our appreciation for what they do. Hopefully they are working for a reputable company and you receive quality materials and workmanship.
My brother in St. Cloud got a new roof and new siding to repair hail damage from a storm a few months back.
That's difficult, dangerous work! Not my gift - I'll keep my day job! I like how you captured the smile of the red hatted guy in yesterday's posting, Kate!
Great documentary! Work on a roof like this with no protection, no helmet etc. would have ended up in a serious fine to the company. We have people who try to earn more money by using people who don`t have the right to work the way they do...... no tax, no insurance. And who will pay the hospital bill if something happen when the roof is not secured. The pictures are great, and nice portraits!

ReplyDeleteWe had our roof replaced a few years ago. Thats not a job I could do. We had 3 layers of old shingles up there.
ReplyDeleteLots of very hard work going on here.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's almost done. Well, except for the shingles.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how quickly this process can be finished. Looks like it's coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteNot long now Kate, you can't rush these things but boy would you like them to get a move on haha! I know i would!!
ReplyDeleteI hope the job is finished and that it was done well!
ReplyDeleteGlad it didn't rain!
ReplyDeleteNice captures!
