Roofing: Final Stage!

It took five men ten hours to roof both our house and garage.
HOT DAMN!
Our new roof, ready for winter ... one hopes!! (With no ice dams or wind damage, which was the culprit on the former roof.

  2. I am not really sure you could ever get these times here. People tent to disappear at mid work to come again a week later with elaborate excuses...

  3. Charming house. Looks like they did a good job, quite efficiently. And, I trust, with no accidents.

  5. It looks fabulous Kate, they did a great job. I know how you feel about the winter thing though, Before last winter we had all the guttering around the roof replaced and it was a much more relaxed wet season. Happy weekend.

  9. It looks great, Kate. Can you believe that I have lived in my current house long enough to have re-roofed it TWICE? The last time I used shingles with a 40 year life. I don't want to do it a third time.

  10. A new roof is a wonderful feeling! And I can imagine even more so when you're facing a Minnesota winter. You have a beautiful home!

  11. Me again! Re your comment on The Villages: Lots of Minnesotans have moved to The Villages. Some are snowbirds. I think you would like it a lot, although with 80,000 people and still growing, it does get a little crowded. And you're always in danger of getting squashed like a bug by a golf car! :-)

We're heading down to Lake Sumter Landing this evening...should be very nice weather - great for pictures.

  16. I don't know about the roof, but if that's your house I like it! It looks very cute and inviting - the kind of place I'd like to spend a winter. :)
