A Summer Ritual

During the summer, city workers check all the fire hydrants to make sure that each one is operating and functioning as it should. Thank you for your diligence. I hope that our neighborhood or our house never has to use the facility.

  1. Good to see Kate and well-captured. I love fire hydrants. They always catch my attention in America. So many different colours and shapes.

  3. This is so a peculiar American thing, I saw this only in movies, usually done by boys in hot summer days.
    Very good shot.

Flushing the hydrants. A good thing to do. Our city no longer does it. Don't know why but then all the hydrants are relatively new.

Homesteading in Alaska is on Bing-it today.

  6. I wonder if they do it here too! Fires are also a big problem here at the hottest monthes...
