Touchdown, Vikings

This is what happens on the field when the Vikings score a touchdown at home in the Dome, not one but several flags go sailing across the field.

  2. Sometimes I enjoy the traditions, the ceremonies on the field and in the stands even more than the games.

  3. There's something about American football that I just don't get. My impression is that it's a combination of violence, marketing, sex and pageantry. Sort of like our recent national experience in Iraq. The NFL chews up players, destroys their joints and then throws them away. Gives the choice, I prefer the explicit insanity of international soccer, like here.

Good morning to you Kate. I was hoping that would be you down there racing across the field waving that big flag, but then, no, not you after all.

  7. Seems warriors never die, just appear in a different form.

  8. Glad your team had something to cheer about. Our poor 49ers aren't giving us too much to wave a flag for. (I know the grammer is bad in that sentence but...)LOL

  13. Funny about those Vikings. They crop up everywhere. Maybe you should have a sporting look at this page? I'm sorry that the text in Norwegian, but I think they manage to get the message across. :-)

Somehow they only finished third - someone a little further up the coast made it this year...
