This is an image that will get me through the next eight cold and snowy Minnesota days before we fly to Mazatlán, México for three months. Eight more days!!
As I ran around today in slush, cold and snow, doing errands this image did indeed sustain me.
Kerri, As soon as I'm hooked up to internet or, if that's not possible, I'll use a cybercafe to blog as I did last year. Photography is so easy there because of the wonderful light.
Isabella, Nope, we will be living in two different places: a condo and a house. Requires a move but unless one stays for 6 months, rentals are not easy to find -- resorts are always available but I prefer to live in a Mexican neighborhood. Long-term renters snap up the prime, economical places. I'm just a snowbird. And February is Carnaval (yipee!!)so the town is jumping. Last year my first place was infested with bats, and it took me 2 weeks to find another place. Had great neighbors who have become friends at the new place. I have seen my places this year, and I'm satisfied. I'll be blogging!!
oh ! very warm and beautiful Kate and lovely clouds, very dramatic. Hope you had a joyful Christmas Wish you a very happy new year Kate ! and wish you all the joy and fun in Mexico and right through the year. lots of love rauf
ooooh lucky you!! Am really looking forward to your photos from Mexico, although I must admit I still enjoy all the snow pix, I guess because it is a novelty that I don't have to actually endure, so it looks all romantic and lovely!
I am happy for you and your husband! I wish you healthy, healthy and again healthy! I know you can create enjoyable time for yourself and it`s really great. Take care!
Oh what a beautiful photograph. Well I'm counting with you, Kate. Will you resurrect your wonderful Mazatlan Mexico Daily Photo? I imagine so from reading your comment here. I do hope so!
And thanks so much for your comment on Monte Carlo DP today. Made my day! Dead chuffed, I was.
Do you, by chance, remember that first year going down there? Was it a tense time or were you like going home again? Everything was just wonderful? I would think I would be nervous.
I do read several blogs from Americans who are in Panama, Mexico and Argentina and all seem to love it where they are at. I find it most interesting the living in another country is still possible. I had a lot more courage when I was 19 or 20 and lived in Japan than I do now at 73 going on 74.
Anyway, I like your photograph a lot, Kate. You do good work.
What a great idea! To let your worries behind you with your winter clothes and to come upon sun and warmth...And for us, many new photos of your "winter", like last year!
Three month vacation? I surely join the envious, as I'm fighting to improve my seven days off... ;)) Wish you a happy, healthy and successful 2008! With lots of sun in Mazatlan... Blogtrotter
I can't wait to see your pohotos from Mazatlán (I remember how beautiful were those you shared with us last year) and in the meantime I wish you a very Happy New Year !
