Lake Street Bridge Lamp

Not the fault of the theme, but I haven't felt very inspired about this particular subject. I did, however, find this attractive lamp on the Lake Street bridge, which spans the Mississippi River and connects the cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

  5. Nice photo of an attractive lamp.
Here in Mumbai, we have ordinary street lights and simple street signs, so this is a very attractive light to me too.

  15. I wonder how old the lamp is. It looks like they were trying to make a statement when they built it -- about permanance. Nobody wants to cross a bridge that is not firm and lasting.

And, I do like your street lamp. It is beautiful and unusual (to my eye, as I've never been to St. Paul), so of great interest to me. Well done!

  22. Kate, I reckon that your street lamp is simply perfect. I like it very much. Sorry that I did not get my Theme Day Shot onto the blog on the due date. I felt that the subject matter may have dampened the spirit of the day, and so I posted it on Sunday.
I do wish to say that I am most grateful for all your assistance that you previously gave me.
