New Beginnings
If one is lucky, after great sorrow comes great joy. Joannne and Peter each lost a spouse after a very long successful marriage. This fine couple now have found one another and have decided to begin another relationship--in Joanne's words, "another chance at life and love." Today Joanne sent me this photo and announced their engagement. Celebrate new beginnings!

A sweet reminder not to give up hope!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to the young-ish couple :-)
They look so right together. I have a theory about second marriages and it's that when both partners come from previous happy relationships, then it works. This one will work, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteA special congratulations to your friends. It shows its never too late for happiness.
ReplyDeleteLife's too short not to grab happiness when it shows up. Best wishes to your friends.
ReplyDeleteThere's happiness written all over these two.
ReplyDeleteKate, what a lovely photo and lovely words to go along with it. As someone who has not yet married for the first time, I absolutely love seeing and hearing about love that lasts. Thanks for sharing this with us all!
ReplyDeleteWell, gee whiz, what a nice post. It made me smile. I know a few old timers like me who have done the same thing. They seem to enjoy life so much.

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Finland with best wishes to the happy looking couple.
ReplyDeleteAs young married suits biologically - best genes for children- as older we are looking at a partner, who has a same kind characters, or at least people are saying here so :)
Anyhow, much, much happiness to them!
Hi, They look so very happy, thats so great to see that happen!
ReplyDeleteJoanne is my name-mate, So happy life for her!
JoAnn :)
Thanks for visiting my blog, please come back you're very welcome :)
As already mentioned, they look very happy - that certainly bodes well :)
ReplyDeleteIs love the same one at twenty or at fity years old, I wonder ? I can imagine this couple will be happy if it manages to find points of agreement. For the gentleman already moving at the lady will undoubtedly not be so easy.
ReplyDeleteAnd the problems from the children ? Even if they are adults and have their own family, children often would believe that the survivor will be ever faithful to the person who disappeared...
(Thank you, Kate for visiting my blog and commenting...
I apologize, my English is not very good...)
