In an earlier post I showed you just the roots of this tree, but I thought the complete view would demonstrate how tenacious nature can be! If only I had such staying power when life gets a little difficult!
Interesting root system. Its tangled but seems to be firmly stuck. I like the picture before but am glad to see the whole thing. Have a good day Kate and I am "rooting" for you. Sue
My question is related to the drought we are having. I see the roots up that high and I wonder if the water has went down that much.
Usually the roots are exposed due to the action of the stream removing soil, rocks and things that normally cover roots. So I assumed this is low water.
Beautiful post, full of meaning, trees also play an important role in many of the world's mythologies, a lot of symbolism. They have its time and we have ours and its great!
And see how the tree thrives; so much water all too close.
ReplyDeleteimpressionnant cette racine, on dirait un echangeur d'autoroute ;o)
ReplyDeleteimpressing this root, an exchanger of motorway would be said ;O)

I've noticed that some trees growing near water tend to have their roots exposed. Maybe that's how they protect themselves from root rot?
ReplyDelete...and their longevity, too ;-)
ReplyDeleteCome on, I am sure you have. Strong roots indeed.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many years it has taken to "make" all these roots?

ReplyDeleteLooks like the ground has eroded a lot over the years. No telling just how deep the roots go though.
