  8. There are some days I simply refuse to look at or listen to the "news", and I always feel a little fresher and a little more hopeful during those days.

When I do watch the news I count the stories of blood and mayhem, usually having to do with wrecks or family feuds or fires . . . those stories far, far outnumber stories that really tell the NEWS one might wish to hear.

I've heard newsrooms create news. But maybe more like CNN, MSNBC, etc., than the local stations like this one.

  10. I was listening to the new 24 hour news from France the other day, and I found my self thinking, hey, I have heard this same story 5 times.......I guess it was a slow day in France! Sorry Eric :)

  11. I guess the Eyewitness News Team is covering The Countdown!
Your photo sort of startled me this morning-last night I (ahem) bypassed the "stairs closed" sign again at Stone Arch Bridge, and when I eventually ascended those stairs just what kind of truck do you think I saw waiting at the top?
You guessed it-EYEWITNESS NEWS! Probably getting a live-shot of the cool skyline.

We have three local news stations and I don't watch any of them. My preference is the national news. in fact I often skip the national news given I have read it all on the Internet during the day anyway.
