Theme Day, January 1, 2018: Favorite photo of the previous year
Last March I posted several paintings that were in a Joy Liberman exhibit, a former colleague of mine and talented artist who teaches art to lower school students at the school where I used to teach literature and writing. There were so many paintings of hers I loved that it was difficult to chose one for this post. If you want to see others that I used on my 2017 blog go here, here, and here.

An interesting subject and the artistry is very well done. Those are lucky kids who sit under her tutelage!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Stay warm and have a wonderful new year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI must have missed this the first time around. Indeed, they are lovely. I am also taken by the similarity of our posts for today as mine, also, is of hands. Great minds . . . ? Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Kate.
ReplyDeleteI'm ever in awe of the talent of artists, these are brilliant Kate! Hope all is well with your knee these days, I'm in training for a 14km run/walk later in the year, let's see how that works out 😀 Wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy new year 🎉🎈🎊🎆🎇
ReplyDeleteNice paintings. I have been thinking of you up there in that deep freeze....especially since some of that freezing air has drifted down here. Therefore my better half...the one with cabin fever has purchased tickets for the Carribbean ...sorry that wasn't nice to share.
ReplyDeleteMay your New Year be healthy and bright and just a wee bit warmer. Janey
I remember these and they are a good choice for the theme!
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of sign language.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Happy New Year, Kate! I hope this one holds many good things for you.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Kate. It's been far too long since I visited you.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are surviving the frigid weather in St. Paul.
It seems we complain here in the greater Sacramento area when it drops into the low 40's.
We need rain and a good snow pack in our mountains. If we don't get it soon we will be back in the drought mode
