One of several beautiful pillars of glass
If you have been to a Chihuly Glass Exhibit just about anywhere, one gallery will have the glass pieces, cupids and glass fragments on a ceiling, making photographing it a bit difficult. Without hesitating, I lay down on the floor, followed by several other photographers and took the photo below. It was worth the difficulty of getting upright again!
Beautiful glassworks Kate.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for getting down and then back up again. Not sure I could have done that but it was worth it - a fascinating and very beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the glassworks. I like your determination in pursuing a photo. Laying down on the floor made me smile. I would do the same thing and then Shari would have to help me up. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness those are beautiful. They look like sea creatures.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Well worth the effort!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Fantastic photos!
ReplyDeleteOh nice work Kate.. I'm getting a picture of you all lying on the floor snapping away :) It really is a fantastical and fabulous image!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully photographed! These are so intricate.
ReplyDeleteHard to resist!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the squirrel poem. They have been a real pest this summer - ate all my tomatoes and have just eaten through 2 sets of outdoor lights I have around my deck.
Seems I run into Chihuly glass quite often. It is always colorful and temps my eye for a photograph. You have succeeded well with your photos.
ReplyDeleteThe glass ceiling really knocked me out. And I loved the room with all the underwater creatures. Wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting me Kate, and introducing me to your blog.
ReplyDeleteThe only Dale Chihuly Glass I have seen is a magnificent chandelier which sits in the main entrance foyer to the V & A Museum in London.
Good job leading the pack, Kate. I hope you had someone to give you a hand getting back to your feet!
