Rugged-Good Fences

I like the look of this old style rugged fence.  The photo was taken in Door County, Wisconsin on one of our family trips there about 4 years ago.  There's only one kind of fence that I like better, and that's a coyote fence, which is common in New Mexico, one of the states that I love to visit.

  1. Nice shot! These fences do make good use of the environment. I was wondering if where you grew up you had an "Open Door" policy...sorry, that just came out and I'm going to leave it.

  13. Hi Kate! I just re-read my comment above. Sometimes my mind is running along and my writer's hand just follows, whether it makes sense or not. I don't really know what that means. I didn't mean anything nasty for sure. Perhaps people in Wisconsin tend to be friendly and in the smaller towns I know some of them leave their doors open most of the time. Probably not to smart to do that anymore, though.

  14. These are very pretty and more interesting than a fence that lines up and marches straight ahead.
