A Very Sad Tale

Here is the camera that I have dragged around for about 4 years now. I love my camera, and I'm sure that Canon doesn't mind that I am posting it here. It has been a loyal friend, but friends sometimes get sick. It's my fault! Dropping a camera, not once but several times, eventually affects the lens. I took it to my favorite camera doctor, but he's sending me to a specialist. I'll let you know the verdict. In the meantime, I'll just have to enjoy all your photos. Please don't forget me because it will just make Canon cry, and I hate to see a friend who is already ill become even sadder.

  1. Oh no, I am so sorry to hear about this, Kate. I hope that Canon can still repair it and that we'll see your photos again soon.

  2. Oh dear, Kate. Nathalie had a similar problem with her Canon and it's currently being fixed. I do hope yours will be OK and if not, you'll need to raid your piggy bank as we can't have St. Paul and Mazatlan with no Kate photos!

  3. j'espère qu'ils vont pouvoir le réparer, c'est toujours dur d'avoir son APN en panne.

I hope they will be able to repair it, it's always hard to have his camera down.

    Oh No.

Gosh I hate to hear that. Cameras are next to god in their creative sides and to drop one is worse than dropping a laptop. I suspect the verdict is going to be expensive.

  9. I've dropped my Nikon far too many times to count. I can tell where all the dings and dents come from. My favorite is one from Paris when I was trying to convince airport security to please hand inspect it. Of course, they pretended they didn't understand English and slammed it through x-ray. Grrrr!!! This was back in 1989 when I was a pretty 21-year old blonde who wore very little. :)

  12. I've occasionally thought about what I would do if I'd wreck my camera. We have a couple of point and shoots around the house, but I'd probably use it as an excuse to upgrade.
