Monday Night Before the Inauguration
I got all these photos from CNN on Monday night while watching television. If it had been possible, I would have liked to have been in DC with the rest of the well-wishers; instead I'll be watching the Inauguration from the warmth and security of my own home. What an exciting time, though!

Une belle journée, pour un espoir international. bonne fête avec cette investiture.
ReplyDeleteA great day for international hopes. good party with the inauguration.
At last the day has arrived. A wonderful man, intelligent, calm, thoughtful, charismatic. Change and hope have come to America and so to all of us.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your television. I'll be watching here.
I would have braved the crowds to be there also. I can settle being able to watch at work.
ReplyDeleteI bet there is so much energy in DC right now, but I'll have to watch from home as well. At least I'm sure I'll have a better view!
ReplyDeleteI have friends there, they're having a blast. But I like the wide view of everything we get through TV and internet.
ReplyDeletewhat a great day for everyone!
ReplyDeleteIt is so exciting. I rushed home from work so I could watch it with my husband. A great and historic occasion!
ReplyDeleteNice collage to mark this special day in our country's history and the feeling of hope that embraces us.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of shots. I've been watching on TV. Its been brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to be there as well, no matter how cold it is - we're used to dressing in layers, right? It was an amazing day, whether taking part or watching on TV from afar.
ReplyDeleteI, too, would have loved to go..
ReplyDeleteI spent a lot of time in front of the TV today, but have no regrets!!!
