Dog Park: Where are the dogs?
This is a photo of the dog park along the banks of the Mississippi River where we take our dog, Maggi, for a run. There aren't any dogs in the photo because it's difficult to capture them; all they want to do is sniff and run. On Monday when I took these pictures it was snowing with tiny flakes drifting and dancing as they floated to earth. It almost makes me appreciate winter, but despite this lovely (but cold and icy) winter wonderland I'll be happy to be going to Mazatlan, Mexico in just 19 days. Maggie remains behind with our son who is our favorite caretaker.

Fabulous photo....always a challenge this time of year with the cold temps, ice, snow, cold temps, the snow being too bright for photos, dead batteries from the cold temps....looks like we are in for quite a week of bitter cold....yes, am I jealous you will be leaving this area soon.
ReplyDeleteLes Giants viennent de se faire éliminer, je suis tout triste ;o(...toute cette neige, c'est impressionnant, les chiens sont surement dans un tunnel en dessous la neige ;o)
ReplyDeleteThe Giants have just been removed, I am sad ;o(... the snow is awesome, dogs are probably in a tunnel below the snow ;o)
Hi Kate
ReplyDeleteI live in Yorkshire, England but I have a friend living in Park St, St Paul who has a blue heeler puppy called Angus. I think maybe you just missed him that day.
Our crazy dog loves to roll in the snow no matter what the temp is. Looking forward to your warm photos in 20 days!
ReplyDeleteMexico sure does sound nice about now. Driving back from lunch I was thinking how it doesn't seem that cold, sun and all, and then looked at the outside temp display on my dashboard ... -5F. How quickly we adapt.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of this winter view, not seen in this latitude of MC. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteAre those snowed over paw prints I can just make out?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely facility for dogs to run. I walk mine in the local woods off the lead now as they're old but you can never be too certain they won't run away..
this is a great winter photo....I love it! and I am jealous you are going to someplace like Mexico for the rest of the winter!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you can't wait for Mazatlan and warmer climes.
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting series Kate. I love how you have captured people in their everyday lives.
You'd think the dogs would love the snow. What a scene. Gorgeous, Kate.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely wintry photo.
ReplyDeleteI love it when snow drifts and clings to the trees like this, it reminds me of christmas cards!
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr! I want to be in Mazatlan NOW!
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow St Paul resident and blogger! Is the park in the photo Battle Creek?
Good work!
