Lake Superior's North Shore

Okay, so it's not an exciting photo, but I think seagulls are worthy subjects since their habitat is one that we humans admire. Birds like this one were our constant companions during our mini-vacation on the North Shore of Lake Superior.

  1. I know we are supposed to respect wildlife, but personally, I could do with a few less seagulls.

  10. You are so right, we love to be where the seagulls live. Many don't like seagulls but they are beautiful birds - as are all birds, aren't they? Well perhaps not a vulture unless you are a baby vulture?

I really liked this photo...one of my favorite books from childhood was a book called Gogo the French seagull by Lois Slobodkin about a gull who follows a sea liner from France to the US...thanks to that book, I can live with them and gladly share Lake Michigan with them...
