Oh, my, there was a high of 70 degrees yesterday. We took advantage of the occasion and enjoyed one of our favorite road trips, along the Mississippi River on the pretty Wisconsin side. St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Prescott, WI caught my eye because of the twin spires. A good choice for a Sunday post, right?!

The 70 degrees excites me. I am looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteAnd the day before you had snow! I love church architecture and search it out when I'm in a new city. This one is especially beautiful. I wonder how old it is.
ReplyDeleteObviously I am not a good researcher; I tried every method I could think of, but could not come up with even one fact re this church. You would think that the historical society of the area would have info, but nothing but a telephone number. Perhaps I should have waited to post the photo after calling them to see if they had any info.
DeleteAn excellent choice for today and a lovely church. I'm so glad you finally got some warm weather to get out and enjoy.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty church! And a good name for a city, be it in Wisconsin or Arizona. And to top it all off, a temp of 70? Who could ask for anything more.
ReplyDeleteElegant and not over the top, as Catholic churches can sometimes be.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. I have been outside for days fanning the warm air up your way.
ReplyDeleteGood choice of shots for a Sunday.
Nice church.
ReplyDeleteOne day snow the next 70 degrees. Nice. A good Sunday picture for sure.
ReplyDeleteLove the brick facade and the symmetry!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you have some sunshine now. Lovely church.
ReplyDeleteSo many churches of that era were constructed similarly. Isn't there a Catholic church on I-94 between the Wisconsin border and St. Paul that looks a bit like this?
ReplyDeleteYes, a good choice for a Sunday post, Kate.
ReplyDeleteI always like a brick building, even more a church!
ReplyDeletePretty church! And now I'm envying you: 70 degrees?! We're at 45 with wind and rain and more wind today.
