It finally happened!
The library as well as the newly renovated community center had its Open House last Sunday from 1-5 pm. It was a mad house with hundreds of people attending, but I shall wait a little while before I return to start using it as I had before. People who helped raise money to fund the remodeling and addition plus the mayor and other dignitaries were there to celebrate the library's opening. Three young musicians, one of whom is pictured below, entertained the crowd.

Libraries, new or renovated, are a big deal in my 'book'. Can't wait for an inside peek.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I'll bet you will love the place.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure this place will be a cozy retreat through the cold winter months.
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite impressive!
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteHappy that it has been completed. I am not fond of crowds and would return later too!
ReplyDeleteWow, always delighted to see a new library. Hope to see the inside too.
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to see community centres and libraries opening instead of closing Kate.. looking forward to seeing inside when you return.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see something like this. So many areas had to cut back during the recession. I hope we can see more once the crowds thin out. It looks like a very nice building.
