We once had a local guide in Costa Rica who explained that he had spent a year in the USA on an exchange program for farm kids in high school. He was excited when he learned he would be spending a year on a farm in North Dakota, as he would see and experience snow for the first time.
Will do.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully composed shot Kate!
ReplyDeleteLooks like winter has arrived! I must say the scene looks amazingly similar to what I see out my windows this morning. ;)

ReplyDeleteHe said that one winter was plenty for him.
Nice photo but I'll stay inside for my warmth.
ReplyDeletei'd be pulling that straw bale too close to the fire, i'd imagine. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm and inviting scene! Pull up a bale and sit awhile. We can visit while watching the dancing flames from the fire!
ReplyDeleteThat would be a good place to warm up the hands after building a snowman.
ReplyDeleteI know your special gathering will be joyous!
I'm tryin'.
ReplyDeleteA great idea but, I think you might have more to worry about on that front than I do.
ReplyDeleteOh, baby, that sure looks inviting out there in the cold! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think my blood is too thin to stay warm in the kind of cold you have there!
ReplyDeleteYou too Kate. We still didn't have any snowfalls in my city, but it's very cold and harsh weather nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI am plenty warm here in Naples, Kate, but I am getting nervous about heading north to Connecticut in two days.
ReplyDeleteI like these contrasts in temperature! It was such a beautifully sunny day here, but gosh, was it cold!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteIt has hardly been cold in Germany. Hope you are staying warm!
ReplyDeleteStunning photograph! Bracing ourselves for that cold weather you are having in the States to drift over here soon :).
