Our outdoor holiday tree
The birds like the berries that still cling to the tree, and the squirrels enjoy batting around the balls. Greedy little demons must think that they are giant berries.
It's interesting to see that the red color is chipping off some of the balls whereas on others the paint remains intact. I wonder if moisture affects some of them but not others. A mystery!
that is really cute! playing jokes on the squirrels, are we? :)
ReplyDeleteI love your tree!
ReplyDeleteYes, as soon as I find that recipe for the cookies I'll be happy to share it with you!
Nice way to make a Christmas tree!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the disappearing red: I know that many red pigments are very sensitive to light and moisture (e.g. paint), so you may be on the right track.
So nice of you to provide squirrel entertainment. Looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the snow-topped red balls.
ReplyDeleteYou inspired me to try to catch the heart tree here after a snowfall!
Cheers,
Merisi

ReplyDeleteYour mystery? Simple. Blame the squirrels!
They DO look like berries. I can see why the squirrels might be confused. ;)

ReplyDeleteSquirrels are, of course, devious little rascals....
