HOME SWEET HOME!
After the construction of this nest, on May 14th I posted Mama Robin sitting on the finished product. A friend of mine used that photo and made two fantastic cards for me!! I added another shot of her when she looked a little malevolently at my intrusion. (Click to enlarge the bottom photo to see the expression on the face of the robin!)
This photo is the winner of the theme day.
ReplyDeleteWow-what an incredible construction! I'd be out there videoing the progress myself (can't help myself).
ReplyDeletedes nouveaux locataires qui en ont profites pour construire leur petite maison ;) c'est mignon
ReplyDeleteThat's brilliant Kate, I love it!!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha ... a funny take on the theme today.
ReplyDeletewonderful take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteLove the robin's expression underneath the expression on the gargoyle! I like how you and Sarasota DP chose animal construction pictures rather than human!
ReplyDeleteI love your take on this theme. I watched a house wren make a nest just last weekend and never even thought of it for this month's Theme Day.
ReplyDeleteI love this, Kate! Brilliant interpretation.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate. Happy theme day. I posted a similar photo of a birds nest some time back. As you found, if momma bird is around this can be a risky photo challenge.
ReplyDeleteNow why didn't I think of using nest building for my photo. I totally forgot that I have several photos like that. There is always a nest being built at the Desert Botanical Garden when I go.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. Nice take on this theme. (Great minds think alike!)
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful Theme Day post! Her expression is just so darned cute.
ReplyDeleteLove this. One of the most creative posts for the theme!
ReplyDeleteI forgot. As usual.
I love bird nests. When I taught, I had a big collection. I had one that had curling ribbon in it and another with a cigarette filter.

Great idea! I love the way the robin is posing for the picture.
ReplyDeleteExcellent, Kate. This year it seemed like there were so many birds around that some of them had to pick precarious locations like this for their nests. We have been having wonderful bird choirs chirping away in Hartford.
ReplyDeleteYou and Jarart in Prescott shared the creativity to think of nature's construction. Well done.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your post yesterday, there seems to be a trend among wineries to have an outdoor brick oven for cooking pizza and space for people to eat lunch while touring wineries. Several of them in Napa, Sonoma, and Shenandoah Valley wine touring areas of California do that.
Sorry your link is not working. You might try again pasting the link in the html mode, and saving it, then testing it in your preview mode, and the link should take you back to the Daily Photo portal. I always test mine that way to see in advance if they will work.
The most original construction site I have seen today!
ReplyDeleteLike others here, I do like your interpretation of this theme day. Too bad you can't link to the theme day site.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful theme day shot!
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful photo for the theme, Kate. Love them both. So glad I clicked on the small one. She looks most put out - if only she knew how famous she is now - but I know she'd not care...
ReplyDeleteWell done, that girl. Errrr... you know what I mean
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
It will be fun to see the little ones fledge.
ReplyDeletePerfect entry on theme day, Kate! Mama Robin's 'face' looks so funny! :-)
