The JV basketball teams from Central High (a St. Paul's Public School) and Minnehaha Academy (a Minneapolis private school) Battle to Win.
Sitting behind the Central High School team's bench we were close enough to see and hear their coach (in black) instruct them when they came out of the game. He is low key without the need to curse or shout...a good role model. Despite a close game, the Central's team won by 4 points!

Its always nice to see a coach, coach. I was shocked when I went to a HS game a couple of weeks ago. Usually after the JV game the visiting team strolls out in their sweats and sits there while the varsity game goes on. Last week, the visiting JV team came out of the locker room after their game all in suits, ties and dress shoes. Told told me more about the coach and players than their play on the court (they beat our JV team though).
ReplyDeleteDid you yell and cheer, Great Kate, or were there some cheerleaders there to do that?
ReplyDeleteThese are excellent images, kate!
ReplyDeleteThe pyramidal composition looks great for a victory! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteHis influence stretches far beyond the game.
