Each year we have a different national menu for our holiday meal, which makes the festivities even more interesting. Last year we had a French Christmas dinner with this delectable dessert. Our German meal this year has a dessert still unnamed as of this writing, but, never fear, I will come up with something reasonably close to the recipe supplied by JB of Mainz, Germany. May your day be joyous, whether or not you celebrate this holiday. Peace to all around the world.
For those of you who do celebrate...
God Jul...Buon Natale...Joyeux Noel...
Nollaig Shona...Feliz Natal...Feliz Navidad...
Nadolig Llawen...Nadelek Lowen...
Veselé Vánoce...Vrolijk Kerstfeest...
Kala Christougenna...Mele Kalikimaka
Frohe Weihnachten...Merii Kurisumasu...
Souksan Van Christmas and, of course,
MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND
ALL!!

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteGod Jul.
ReplyDeleteDelicious photo! I especially like the Christmas greetings in so many highlighted languages! I hope we get to see the German Christmas dinner or dessert . . . .
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Kate .. I'm sure you will enjoy your German meal .. your tradition of changing national menus each Christmas sounds very intriguing.
ReplyDeleteOur Christmas meal will be tamales. It is a small way we keep the memory of my mother-in-law alive in the family. Each Christmas the making of tamales is a big production in the Harryman household. A two day event. The meat is prepared the night before. Then the family gathers to spread masa on corn husk and assemble the tamales. Four hours of steaming later we enjoy our efforts.
Oh this looks good! Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays. We got snow the other day, just in times for Christmas but the sun is out today so it won't last long.
ReplyDeleteYummy post for today! Have a Happy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSeasons Eatings and Greetings!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my. Next year I think I'm coming to your house.
