A foggy day in St. Paul is a far cry from London, but the fog seems to be the same type! If you want to see some really spooky photos of a foggy morning seen from my backyard, click here.
If fog wasn't so unhealthy I'd love it. Think if I call it mist it sounds better. Lovely photo and the others you link to.
So - 365 days! Brilliant - that's a great achievement. Many congratulations. I so enjoy your photographs and through them and your writing, have the really nice feeling I'm getting to know you a little. Here's to the next 365 days!
Let me be the first to congratulations on your 365 posts. Its a great accomplishment. Love the eerie fog pictures. I think its interesting that St. Kate's backs up to Kates' home.
A years-worth of posts -- well done - obviously over longer than a year since your sabbatical in Mazatlan -- I don't think they have such bad fogs in London now, as most British cities {London included I presume] have gone on to smokeless fuel for domestic heating and various clean-air acts have got rid of a lot of factory chimneys belching out smoke.
But I do remember driving in London in what we used to called "pea-soupers" and you could scarcely see beyond the bumber-bar.
Congratulations, Kate! I have enjoyed visiting here and seeing your city through your eyes--thanks for all the great photos, and all your great stories that accompany them!
I'ts been a long time since I've seen fog. Our part of Florida gets a nice, thick batch like that once in a while, but I can't remember the last one. Maybe a year ago.
I also really like the bottom photo on the previous post you linked.
That was some fog we had, I didn't have an internet connection yesterday, but I posted a fog photo today. They really are tough photos to take and paint a picture of what the fog looks like.
It would be churlish to point out that London doesn't get foggy any more, but I remember when it did - before coal fires and suchlike were banned. The thickest one I can remmeber had visibility of about 3 - 6 ft! This shot is much more atmospheric.
dommage ce mauvais temps pour feter ton 365th posts. Bravo et bonne continuité
ReplyDeletedamage this bad weather to celebrate your 365th posts. Cheer and good continuity
